Who needs a BFR?
According to FAR 61.56 ALL Certificated Pilots are required to complete a Flight Review every 24 calendar months.

What do I have to do to complete a BFR?
A BFR consists of a minimum  one hour of ground and sufficient flight to demonstrate your skils. This must include a review of current general operating and flight rules, and a review of maneuvers and procedures that demonstrate the safe exercise of the privileges of the pilot certificate.

I?m instrument rated, does that affect my BFR?
Yes. While we are not required to perform any instrument maneuvers, you will need to have the knowledge an instrument pilot must know to fly instruments safely. If you wish to update your instrument currency (the flight portion), ask your instructor about an Instrument Proficiency Test.

Can I fail a BFR?
No. If you need a little extra work, the Flight or Ground Session is simply logged in your logbook as dual received, and we will give you additional training to help you reach Practical Test Standards.
